Uses of PANDEEP 40:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): This includes treating and managing symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn, and healing acid-related damage to the esophagus (erosive esophagitis).
- Peptic Ulcers: It is used to treat ulcers in the stomach and duodenum by reducing acid production, which helps the ulcers to heal.
- Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) Infection: Pantoprazole is used as part of a combination therapy with antibiotics to eradicate this bacterial infection, which can cause ulcers.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: This is a rare condition where the stomach produces an excessive amount of acid due to tumors. Pantoprazole helps to control the overproduction of acid in these patients.
- Prevention of Ulcers: It can also be prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity in patients who are on long-term treatment with pain medications (NSAIDs), which can cause stomach irritation.
